Mani Stick Fighting

Mani Stick Fighting

Mani stick fighting is an African derived martial art from Cuba. In 18th century Cuba, Spanish slave owners watched slaves fight to the death using Mani. At the same time, slaves in Cuba used this martial art in revolts.

Mani consists of head butts, punches, palm strikes, sweeps, elbows, and some systems have kicks; the weapon part consists of stick fighting and knife fighting. Master practitioners were called Manisaros. Mukhanda Enterprise is an organization that has direct contact with a Mani master and we have extensive knowledge of this system.
